SUMMARY:Letters For Ceasefire
DESCRIPTION:Letters for Ceasefire is an opportunity to write postcards\, letters\, and/or poems to elected officials demanding an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza. Mailing supplies\, writing prompts\, information about the war on Gaza\, and resources for contacting elected representatives will be provided. \nAll ages and people are welcome. Donations will be collected for organizations working to mitigate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Donations of blank postcards\, postage stamps\, and books that engage with the Palestinian struggle for freedom and paths of peace in the Middle East are welcome. \nFor those who cannot make it in person\, check out this handy Google Doc with information for contacting elected officials\, scripts\, writing prompts\, and resources for learning more about this crisis. \nLetters For Ceasefire will take place each Monday\, from 5–7 PM\, throughout the winter. While you’re there\, pick up a poster and sign a petition urging local governments to pass a ceasefire resolution!
